Ted Oplinger Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 In today's polarized America, many have a dawning realization it is happening to them. Are your deepest beliefs being targeted? Unfolding, right before our eyes? Food for thought... Quote "As iron sharpens iron, so also does one man sharpen another" - Proverbs 27:17 "The offense of the cross is that the cross is a confession of human frailty and sin and of inability to do any good thing. To take the cross of Christ means to depend solely on Him for everything, and this is the abasement of all human pride. Men love to fancy themselves independent. But let the cross be preached, let it be made known that in man dwells no good thing and that all must be received as a gift, and straightway someone is offended." Ellet J. Waggoner, The Glad Tidings "Courage is being scared to death - and saddling up anyway" - John Wayne "The person who pays an ounce of principle for a pound of popularity gets badly cheated" - Ronald Reagan
Members phkrause Posted October 16, 2013 Members Posted October 16, 2013 Without even going to the website to read what it says, I will say absolutely. This has been going on for centuries. Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29;2
Ted Oplinger Posted October 16, 2013 Author Posted October 16, 2013 It appeared on beliefnet, as the feature right after the one you posted about the wackiest cars. It was...interesting. Ted Oplinger Posted October 16, 2013 Author Posted October 16, 2013 I thought you would have, PK. Due to the subject nature, I posted it here, rather than on the Townhall forum. bonnie Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 Without even going to the website to read what it says, I will say absolutely. This has been going on for centuries. There is very little new under the sun,but not everything can be dismissed as "that has always been going on" there is a concentrated effort to demean or ridicule those that dare to be against "gay marriage' That is a sure sign of hate and being homophobic. Against Obamacare, ignorant or racist. Against the abuse of tax payer dollar going to those that could do more to help themselves, you want people to die of hunger in the streets. ETC Quote Everything you do is based on the choices you make. It's not your parents, your past relationships, your job, the economy, the weather, an argument, or your age that is to blame. You and only you are responsible for every decision and choice you make, period ... ... Wish more people would realize this. Quotes by Susan Gottesman

But such a portrait of a people's fall into serfdom can't happen here in America, can it?
