Sold the House

Recommended Posts

So I sold my house. I offered the guy my lawn mower for a grand, just between me and him, pass me a check or cash or whatever at some point.

Next you know, the lawnmower is on the closing paperwork and the house sale price is bumped up a $1,000.

Which means,,, all the realtors and everybody else are "getting a piece of the action" for me selling my lawn mower! :)

It's not much, what ever, but thats the last time I offer anyone the lawn mower when I sell the house!

Congratulations on being a recipient of the Lord's good favor. You've sold your house and your lawnmower too!

I might post a detail of the Lords providence and the many lessons I learned from this whole deal. It just struck me funny that somehow I ended up paying commissions on my lawnmower. :) A minor issue to be sure, but isn't the fabric of life composed of the little things that add spice?

LOL, that reminds me of the time we sold our house. We asked for a certain price, they wanted us to come down $1,000, but they wanted to know if we could include the wood burning stove with the house. So we said sure, as long as you buy the house at the original price. So it worked out a little better for us than for you Club. :)

My realtor caught the lawnmower thing and removed it from commission, bless her heart, that was nice.

Well, thats it for me with the city! With the city house gone I'm all the way out and putting down roots in my country home. Still learning the ropes of country living.

You know those black cats with the white stripe that live in the woods in the country? They aren't cats, as my city the dogs found out last night. They stink, I stink, the house stinks and now the car stinks after taking them down to the Doggy Wash. On my third load of laundry, gotta clean everything I guess, wonder how long the stink hangs around?

Ah,,, the country life, SO blessed to be here, in spite of those stinky cats.

Boat, cars, motorcycles, all gone. I'm all about tractors, rototillers and shovels now. :)

You might try bathing in tomato juice. You, and the dogs. My grandmother says this is the one thing that will truly get rid of the smell.

Congratulations on your new home. I was about to give the advice that Cricket gave. Another suggestion to help control the not-a-cat population is google how to attract owls. They don't have smell and love those not-a-cats for dinner. And glad that you did not have to pay commission on your lawnmower!
