Members phkrause Posted October 20, 2013 Members Posted October 20, 2013 Should we just shrug off the alarming daily reports of persecution of people who follow Jesus? After all, He warned His followers that they would be hated, right? http://www.beliefnet.com/Faiths/Home-Pag..._term=yahoo.com Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. CoAspen Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 The article did not persuade me one way or the other as it lacked quite a bit of documentation. In General I would suspect that 'complaints' are correct in some parts of the world. However, in this country, as normal, the statement 'religious persecution' has become a buzz word for certain groups as a way of trying to automatically get sympathy for their particular brand of truth or belief. There are a lot of outlandish statements made by those who primary focus is political in content. Sitting the name of Christ has been become very popular, for all the wrong reasons!!! Quote
