Administrators Gail Posted October 21, 2013 Administrators Posted October 21, 2013 The saddest words in all the Bible are these: The harvest is past The summer is ended And we are not saved. - Jeremiah 8:20 Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.

Administrators Naomi Posted October 21, 2013 Administrators Posted October 21, 2013 if only .... how many times have we said 'if only' how many times will we continue to say 'if only' Quote If your dreams are not big enough to scare you, they are not big enough for God
Administrators Naomi Posted October 21, 2013 Administrators Posted October 21, 2013 Gail, those words are too sad to even think about ....gnashing of teeth will be an understatement Quote If your dreams are not big enough to scare you, they are not big enough for God
LifeHiscost Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 2 Samuel 18:33 Not to mention this. "And he threw the pieces of silver into the temple sanctuary and departed; and he went away and hanged himself."Matthew 27:5 NASB Unless it might be this. "For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame. For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God: But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned." Hebrews 6:4-8 KJV The AMP of that adds some nuances from the original translation that reveals God continues to pursue in hopes we might see our error and turn. And in case all this is too morbid for some, here's a little sunshine amidst the gloom. "Say to them, As I live, says the Lord God, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn back, turn back from your evil ways, for why will you die, O house of Israel?"Ezekiel 33:11 NASB God cares! Quote Lift Jesus up!!
joeb Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 Quote: Isaiah 50:1 Thus saith the LORD, Where is the bill of your mother's divorcement, whom I have put away? or which of my creditors is it to whom I have sold you? Behold, for your iniquities have ye sold yourselves, and for your transgressions is your mother put away. And the saddest part is God's people are still selling themselves for their iniquities. God ransomed us. He paid the price to redeem us after Adam sold himself and his descendents to the devil. God paid the price so that we could once again be His obedient loving children and not make the same mistake Adam and Eve made. And we haven't learned the lesson from this. We still willingly commit sin, and in the process sell ourselves back to the our evil master. Quote: Through the grace of Christ, we may be strengthened and matured, so that though now imperfect, we may become complete in him. We have mortgaged ourselves to Satan, but Christ came to ransom and redeem us. We cannot purchase anything from God. It is only by grace, the free gift of God in Christ, that we are saved. {YI September 5, 1895, par. 2} Quote Liberty cannot be established without morality, nor morality without faith.Alexis de Tocqueville

Gibs Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 And then a sadder realization is we can sense the temperature is falling and the summer is right at the end. Mt 16:3 And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowring. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times? I believe we sure can and so serious we must be to receive His Spirit of Truth! Oh we must have it and it is now about "as scarce as hens teeth". 1Jo 4:4 ¶ Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
