The marriage of Earl Ray Jones, of Colorado Springs was in trouble. It is alleged that he did physical violence to his wife to the extent that she is unable to work.

Divorce was in process and Mr. Jones determined that she would not get a penny of their assets. So, as Mr. Jones has testified under oath, he went to the bank and closed out some $500,000 in their accounts. He then converted those funds into gold, which was delivered to him. Bank records show that amount of money being into gold, as Mr. Jones testified. It is believed, but not confirmed, that he received about 22 pounds of gold for the $500,000.

Mr. Jones has also testified under oath that in May (2013) he took the total amount of gold that he received and he deposited it in a dumpster to prevent his wife from getting any of it.

It is believed that if he did as he testified, the gold is buried under tons of trash and lawyers of dirt at the landfill.

The court will conduct further hearings on the issues involved in this case.
