Stan Posted October 17, 2005 Posted October 17, 2005 (NO flames on this) When we tithe we are supporting a world wide work. When we travel we have a community of people we can fellowship with. We seem to be here, there and everywhere.... Accepting Christ and becoming a member, was the single best thing I have done. Dr. Shane Posted October 17, 2005 Posted October 17, 2005 Sometimes I think those that don't pay tithe to the church do not think far enough down the line to ask themselves who is supporting the work and who is paying their pastor. Regardless what one believes about the Biblical teaching on tithe, it is the way the Adventist church has decided to meet specific needs. If one wants to be a member of the church they ought to pay thier tithe to it. If they have a problem with their conference, they can send their tithe to another conference - at least I have known some that have done so. My wife and I sent our tithe to her home country's conference for some time and they never refused it. Note: we never had a problem with a conference in the NAD, we just wanted to support her home conference. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor...
