My study materials will be well beyond books. I can go to the master teacher and the host of those who witnessed creation. I will have available to me the universal hosts who witnessed God in flesh interacting on a human level. I can take one of your tours to study the composition of a planet as God created it and not marred by sin. Even, if I do not need to read books in that life, I can sit in my home and ponder the things that I am learning. Quote Gregory

It will be nice to hear the complete story instead of the trying to reconcile the Big Bang and expanding contracting universe theories, and learn the reason for apparent discrepencies in cosmological theory. I imagine that the angels travel much faster than the speed of light in moving from Heaven to earth. I certainly sense we'll be newly wired to right away talk to them without struggle to learn a language. Adam did a mammoth job in naming them what with such short experience in life of using his brain for searching out proper appropriate labels. I was wondering about your wish to swim deep in waters with the fishes and sea mammals. According to Rev. 21 the sea will be no more. We are told that the habitat of sea life won't be there at all. And I surmise that animals or water creatures will all be vegan. No death will happen by eating another animal by another animal. Nor we humans will not be eating meat because that means an animal needs to be killed and that would go against the new laws that says there will be no more death. Quote

Then I began to think about what the sky might look like (at least while we are still in Heaven. This is what I came up with: But really, I expect that we will be using plants and stones for building materials. I have always envisioned lots of sea life, but in a much smaller area. For example, a salt water lake the size of the Great Lakes could easily "house" lots of sea life. As for myself, my immature(perhaps lazy & unmotivated) fantasy's just don't fit the picture of building cities, or much of anything else. I visualize floating around on a cloud playing my harp, or singing (on key) in the Heavenly Choir or perhaps painting picture of some unknown galaxy. My dream was first shattered when I read that angels would bring the women little babies. These would be those who . will be there without a mother. Now I admit that it is a sweet thing for the ladies to take, care for and raise. Been there, done that ... how would I be able to take a nap if I had responsibilities. Nope, my dream for Heaven is to enjoy the arts, no longer work 50-70 hours a week ... and float around from galaxy to galaxy OTOH, would you-all mind building me an open air home with an absolutely gorgeous view in all directions? Many are the present animals that have evolved over time into what God didn't want them to look like. They will be absent and not recreated as far as I can believe. There is mention of one river flowing from the throne of God. There is mention of a sea of glass. Solid, not fluid. Why would we need lakes? Why would we need more rivers? and still it's written.... and there is no longer any sea. Quote

JoeMo Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 I'm not sure if I want a permanent dwelling place in heaven - at least for the first few trillion years. I dream of being a heavenly vagabond. No sea or sea creatures here on earth? No problem - I'm confident that somewhere in the universe there will probably be a planet that's all ocean and no land. Can you imagine looking up at a particular star in the sky and travelling at the speed of thought (I don't think the speed of light will be a barrier to us)? We wouldn't need to hypothesize what happens in the center of a star or a black hole; we could just go check it out. I wonder if we will be able to travel through time. I think the recreated earth will be much like the original creation. God created the earth originally with seas and sea creatures. aka Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 Sure, the symbolic of prophecy is in the picture of the beast with the multiple heads coming up out of the sea (representing the masses of volk). Not to be seen literally but symbolicly. Reading the first verse of Rev. 21 is all straight forward naked statement of Apostle John getting that vision of seeing that the first heaven and earth was done away with and there was no more sea. We are not being kosher when playing the game of twister with scriptural truth facts. Quote

Even if "Heaven" is as close as Orion, and we could only travel at the speed of light, it would take us about 1,500 years to get there. Couldn't the fair land have large bodies of water here and there like a Lake Tahoe or a Lake Superior? Very freshwater lakes fed by the River of Life from His Throne. Or not. Huge ponds fed by tributaries and streams with little creaks running on your property out in the country. Huge Lakes as big as states with little islands as big as counties with small lagoons and beaches. Was that Nehemiah? I'm sorry I don't have a very good memory these days. But anyway, the speed by which angels come and go from heaven to earth must be lightning-speed. CoAspen Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 Not sure why we try to project on to the future, what we know now! Even what we are learning in the fields of astro physics, pics from all of the different types of telescopes, etc, tells me I can't not even imagine what is out there. We have been taught for so long to control our imaginations that the reality of what is being learned today can be difficult to understand. The recent movie INTERSTELLER explores some of ideas known today about time, worm holes, etc, that would not have been imagined by previous generations. So for me, Heavan, Earth and beyond, has no boundries as to what it will be. I find it impossible to place limits of any kind. Quote
Lineman Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 I can see myself traveling to new places (new galaxies and new planets) and learning new things about our Creator from each of those places, then traveling back to my home in Heaven for Sabbath School and sharing it with those who preferred to stay at home learning other things about our Creator. CoAspen is right, we cannot even imagine what is out there, but we know that it will blow our socks off. Even thinking about how a city of gold the size of the Holy City would cause the earth to wobble instead of just turn is mind boggling. But it is not for us to worry about. God has it all under control. Here is something to help us thing outside of the box. When Jesus created this earth and created Adam here, his first home was not a house, right? What if the mansions Jesus is preparing for us in the Holy City are built from a living organism, like inside a sponge or like inside a leaf edge?
