How did Christ take our sins into His Body

1 Peter 2:24 ►

"He himself bore our sins" in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; "by his wounds you have been healed."

How did Christ take our sins into His Body or How did our sins get into Christ's Body??? This is a very fundermental Christian question. If you could not answer this question, how could you understand Salvation ???

I don't think I need to make any more explanation than scripture makes plain so I will just post a few.

1Pe 2:21 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:

1Pe 2:22 Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:

1Pe 2:23 Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously:

Mt 26:28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

Mr 1:4 John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins.

Ro 3:25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

1Jo 4:4 ¶ Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

The sacrifice was adequate for every one born in this world and not one need be lost but by their own choice.

All it takes is repentance and He forgives and a full total surrender and born again of His Spirit we can easily walk from then on in His steps as 1 Pet 2:21 states.

Christ in you is the hope of Glory,

Col 1:27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

1Jo 4:4 ¶ Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

Looking at the type (the sanctuary services), the lamb without blemish carried a person's sins by suffering the sinner's penalty by dying in his place. Sin is not something physical that one could carry, but the penalty is something very real that one could take upon oneself in lieu of the perpetrator. I believe that is how we are to understand how Christ carried our sins in His body.

How did Christ take our sin into His Body?

By attaching all of us - Adam & Eve and all their descendants - to His Body on the cross:

Ephesians 5:23 ... Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.

Why was it necessary that humanity be attached to Christ? The law requires the death of the sinner to pay for his own sin committed. But if the sinner himself pays for his own sin by dying for his sin that separated him from God, then the sinner would have paid for his sin God hates, but God would have eternally lost the sinner He loves, because the sinner died separate from Him. So God made a way to enable the sinner not only to pay for his own sin but also to have hope of life eternal.

On the cross, God, through Christ, created a new man. The Son of God the Head, Jews & Gentiles - humanity - His Body. Now that humanity with all its sin is fashioned into His Body, the sins of humanity that separated man from God were likewise attached to Him Who is the Head of the Body. When the Head died, His Body died likewise (2 Cor 5:14, 15), and the Body was able to "pay" for its own sin. When the Head resurrected, God resurrected His Body together with Him (Eph 2:4-6; Col 2:13, 14), born again into a living hope (1 Pet 1:3), under the terms of the New Covenant (Heb 10:16, 17), empowered to overcome evil with good (Rom 12:21), being attached to Him Who is their Strength (Phil 4:13). All overcomers will not be blotted out from the book of life where our names were written before the foundation of the world (Rev 3:5). Those who choose not to overcome evil with good will be blotted out, removed from the Registry of heaven, dismembered from the Body of Christ.

This is part of the Pure Gospel which our Lord wanted proclaimed unto all the world before He comes again (Matt 24:15). The brand of gospel popularly preached today, sadly, is not the pure one.
