Administrators Gail Posted November 14, 2013 Administrators Posted November 14, 2013 I agree! Or, at least I share an interest in Biblical history and archaeology... Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
ClubV12 Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 If I watched it, and I won't because I don't have TV at all, I would still watch with a careful eye toward the opinions and conclusions of "man". I suspect there is some danger in these types of programs, especially as it concerns the untrained eye of truth. I'm not a big fan of many "Christian/Bible" inspired programs and movies that seem to be growing in popularity in the recent past. I do believe in some cases those presenting them are sincere. But sincerity has less and less meaning for me, personally speaking, as I see more and more error being put out in "good faith". I guess you take the good that you can find, where you find it. I don't agree with a LOT of our own popular speakers on every detail. And yet, I am thankful for their service and believe there is value in their ministry. I stopped judging the "truth" of a matter based on how reverent, or not, I thought a speaker or presentation might be. Good men, sometimes make mistakes. Bad men, on occasion, have been and will be used of God to bring light. The message, not the messenger! Quote
