olger Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 This article also clutches relativism to its bosom. An example of relativism "Well THAT may be true for you..." As if truth is an internal construct. OG Quote "Please don't feed the drama queens.."
Moderators Gregory Matthews Posted November 17, 2013 Moderators Posted November 17, 2013 Some truth is relative and some truth is eternal. This is the old issue of principles and judgments: Principles may be said to be binding on all at all times. The application of those principles may depend upon time and circumstances. The article cited by Tom was not about whether or not women should be ordained. It was about how we should treat those who disagree with us on that point. As such, I do not believe that the article taught relativism. Quote Gregory

olger Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 Read all three pages, baby! Yep. It is ultimately a relativistic treatment of the issue, sprinkled with seatbelt similies and maudlin sentimentality. I will give her this. She is true to culture. rejoice always, g Quote "Please don't feed the drama queens.."
Administrators Tom Wetmore Posted November 25, 2013 Author Administrators Posted November 25, 2013 Yet such critique still seems to have missed the point and appears to evidence a lack of respect for the point of view as expressed by a woman… Take another look. http://www.christianitytoday.com/women/2...source=facebook Quote "Absurdity reigns and confusion makes it look good."
