Gus Foster Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 Our Revelation Bible Study has completed our presentation to an invitation for me to participate at Brasenose College, Oxford University Round Table discussion for March of 2014. You can find it at www.christrevealedinyou.com under the title "Biblical Prophecy Reciprocates Historical (In) Tolerance". May I ask you to share this with every contact you have on the internet. If you do not agree, that is OK. Tolerance means there is disagreement but no aggressive action. You must read this at website--way too long for posting. www.christrevealedinyou.com Quote Striving for a better relationship with Him! Gus Foster
Gus Foster Posted November 22, 2013 Author Posted November 22, 2013 It is imperative that we do not lose the perspective of the 12th thru 18th century reformers and as the book states: "We enjoy the precious heritage of Gospel truth and at the moment religious freedom that was won by our father's blood and suffering. They went to the stake gladly to preserve their Savior's sacrifice." We must always be conscious of the fact that we are only one calamity away from repeating that scenario. May our clinging to Christ be firm enough. Quote Striving for a better relationship with Him! Gus Foster
Gus Foster Posted November 24, 2013 Author Posted November 24, 2013 COMMENTS OF TOLERANCE Some comments on my Oxford University Round Table presentation have been more than generous, suggesting that I consult with some much more learned scholars, that I watch this DVD, that I listen to that CD, and that I study many other authors. I have never denied being a neophyte and always seek erudition guidance while dodging enlightenment. The fact remains I feel a stewardship duty to share the conclusions of 30 years of an international Revelation study that was originated by Dr. William Liversidge in an inductive, prophetic, first use theme, incorporating original Hebrew and Greek texts and is still an ongoing study by some remnant groups. The problematic interpretations of some prophetic texts using this method certainly present some unfamiliar conclusions. An example would be the Revelation seals which we determine as the application of the gospel throughout the church age. Our New Testament Elijah, John, is a great incentive and inspiration for me. And, I applaud those who carry on in this manner today: John Carter, Doug Batchelor and his crew, Hal Mayer, Steve Wohlberg, David Gates, Stephen Lewis, Alden Ho, Tim Risenberger, William Shea along with so many others. I mention these as I have studied with them. We must consider our covenant that God gave to us; to Adam, Noah, Abraham, David, but the final recipient was Jesus, the only covenant keeper, thus being our representative, as such being the true Israel as well as our sacrificial substitute paying for our unrighteousness as the Lamb who takes away the sin of the world. When we talk about the Kings of North and South, North is Babylon and South is the culprit of contention. It is the either the literal countries of the Old Testament or the last day’s spiritual interpretation from all end-time texts, from both Old and New Testaments. The LXX combined with Jesus’ prophetic texts really limit the contexts of Daniel 11:40-45 to two parties, both enemies of the gospel. Walter Veith in his ‘Repairing the Breach’ DVD series in DVD numbers 272, 273 & 278 explore the possibilities extensively. There are many other good studies that differ by concluding the South as geographical, literal countries or of their religion which, as you know, identifies Islam. Our study conclusion was exclusive of the Veith studies and we found secularism to be our choice. The full meaning of all these texts was determined by our conclusion that they all are Christ centered and conclude with the everlasting covenant. All have failed in that regard except Christ. Romans 7 is not just an experience in Paul’s life but the history of Israel and then the church. Because of the gospel we are all enabled to overcome; as each Revelation church overcomes by incorporating Jesus’ character and attributes, bringing each soul into harmony with the righteous requirements of the law and will of the Father. (Titus 2:11-3:7 – enables us and teaches us to say ‘no’ to ungodliness and worldliness) Throughout His earthly ministry Jesus not only prayed that the Father’s love be within us, but insisted that the application of the She’ma (Deut 6:4-9; 11:13-21; & Num 15:37-41) was the key to all enabling and encompassed all law keeping, thus making the Sabbath a covenant requirement in a worship setting. This should not be that complicated; love God and man in a soul binding relationship through the gospel of Jesus Christ, Lord, Savior and sustainer. Their enemy is the apostate church, Babylon and secularism; ungodliness and worldliness. Remember why we are thankful this week— Gus foster Quote Striving for a better relationship with Him!
