Interesting correlation between wheat and health

This is an interesting interview with the author of "Wheat Belly". Very informative!

"Wheat Belly" author: Wheat as addictive as crack

A few years ago, I was having some health problems so my doctor told me to cut out all wheat and its related products from my diet. I lost about 10 pounds in a week, although I wasn't trying to lose weight! (I still lost the weight, even though to make up for the restrictions in my diet I ended up eating a lot more cheese and other dairy products, which I had not been used to eating before). But when the health problems eased up and I started adding wheat products back into my diet, the weight came back too. So I know, from personal experience and that of others I am close to, that it is possible to lose weight just by not eating wheat and their related products.

I'm in agreement with you about so called "wheat" products. The problem is not the "wheat" per se, but how its processed. You need to find a health food store or a place where you can buy flour and wheat products that are not processed the way most wheat products are processed. A number years ago, a guy at work, said his wife had a problem with the bread they bought at the store and so they bought a breadmaker, but she still had the same problem. So I made them a bread with the flour I buy at the ABC. She didn't have the problem with my bread. The problem with the way flour is processed, is they take the "wheat germ" out of the flour. If you get 3ABN, watch the show that's called: "Abundant Living" with Curtis and Paula Eakins. There are a few other shows that are also very good. Also "Help yourself to Health" with Agatha Thrasher, I believe that's her name. Also there's "Lets Cook Together" all of these give great ideas of what to use. As far as addictive, I don't buy that at all.

I am reading "Wheat Belly' presently. The author says that the problem is the wheat itself and not necessary just the processing. Nuff Sed
