Members rudywoofs (Pam) Posted November 19, 2013 Members Posted November 19, 2013 This is from the The Jewish South newspaper (Richmond, Virginia), published August 25, 1893... Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?
ClubV12 Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 I remember reading about that a long time ago in my studies, a most interesting case. Perhaps this was a part of the reason Ellen White counseled that Sabbath keepers, during the time of the Sunday laws, should refrain from doing work on Sunday. There is no need to go looking for trouble or bringing it upon yourself. This fellow would have done well to have followed her advice and let the plow rest on Sunday! :) Quote

Apparently some Adventists decided to name July 11, 1879, as the next prediction of the 2nd Advent...the newspaper made a request of them: Quote Pam Meddle Not In the Affairs of Dragons; for You Are Crunchy and Taste Good with Ketchup. Members rudywoofs (Pam) Posted November 19, 2013 Author Members Posted November 19, 2013 The SDA church active in Hawaii in 1898... Here's a notice from Honolulu's Hawaiian Star newspaper dated May 21, 1898. with the notice of Sabbath School and Church services being held, with the odd placement of an advertisement for constipation being right beside the religious services announcements...
