She has cut an X into her forehead in deference to the infamous Manson Swastika. She moved close to the prison in California several years ago to be closer to him. ”I’ll tell you straight up, Charlie and I are going to get married. When that will be, we don’t know. But I take it very seriously. Charlie is my husband. Charlie told me to tell you this. We haven’t told anybody about that.” Manson is now 79 years old and has been in prison for 44 years. California law says that a prisoner can marry anyone they want to except a fellow prisoner in the same facility. Therefore, the two may marry. Star resembles original Manson family member Susan Atkins. Star, who is from Missouri began writing to Manson because she was interested in his environmentalism. She visited him the first time when she was 19. Later she moved close to the prison and she visits him every Saturday and Sunday. ”People can think I’m crazy. But they don’t know. This is what’s right for me. This is what I was born for.” Manson, himself has cast some doubt on her story, when he said, “That’s a bunch of garbage. You know that, man. That’s trash.
