Hassan’s Story

Hassan, a gang leader in the central African city of Kinshasa, carefully made his way toward several women in the front of the church. For years Hassan had violently confronted his victims to rob, rape, or kill them. But this day was different. Hassan and four of his gang members felt compelled to listen to the sermon, which was part of a month-long evangelistic series presented by one of Hope Channel’s best-known television pastors on the continent of Africa.
