Books of Record

"...the judgment was set, and the books were opened." Daniel 7:10

I suggest that each of these books is "a book of remembrance" (Mal 3:16).

The only perfect, unerring record [with regards to the lives of His creatures,] is the perfect memory of God.

I suggest that a book of remembrance is effectively written [in His memory] for all His creatures. When a man is brought to judgment, every detail of "his life" is then opened to view. But prior to that, not even the angels are privy to every detail.

The memory of the holy angels must be very, very accurate, and their retention must be very strong. But of course our unseen motives cannot be recorded by them... the unseen things can be recorded only by God Himself. He records things in "bottles" and "books", but these containers ultimately represent His memory, I suggest.

To Him, each day is as a thousand years... He sees every minute detail, He sees everything that goes into every choice, every decision, that we ever make. If it were for our good, God could draw out any day we have lived, and speak for 1000 years about that day.

Real books, many of them, different kinds, recording angel writing things in the books. Blotting out things, sometimes names. The investigation continues as I type this, soon, none know how soon, it will pass to the living. When the investigation for the living is complete, Daniel 12:1. Jesus stands up, investigation over, let him who is righteouss be righteouss still. He returns to claim His own, those whose names are written in the book of life.

EGW states this,

"As soon as the books of record are opened, and the eye of Jesus looks upon the wicked, they are conscious of every sin which they have ever committed. They see just where their feet diverged from the path of purity and holiness, just how far pride and rebellion have carried them in the violation of the law of God. The seductive temptations which they encouraged by indulgence in sin, the blessings perverted, the messengers of God despised, the warnings rejected, the waves of mercy beaten back by the stubborn, unrepentant heart,—all appear as if written in letters of fire." {GC88 666.1}
