Gibs Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 Da 8:19 And he said, Behold, I will make thee know what shall be in the last end of the indignation: for at the time appointed the end shall be. Here is a starter,- - "indignation" above is,- - 2195. za`am Mez za`am zah'-am from 2194; strictly froth at the mouth, i.e. (figuratively) fury (especially of God's displeasure with sin):--angry, indignation, rage. See Hebrew 2194 Da 8:20 The ram which thou sawest having two horns are the kings of Media and Persia. Da 8:21 And the rough goat is the king of Grecia: and the great horn that is between his eyes is the first king. Da 8:22 Now that being broken, whereas four stood up for it, four kingdoms shall stand up out of the nation, but not in his power. Da 8:23 And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up. Da 8:24 And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people. Da 8:25 And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand. Da 8:26 And the vision of the evening and the morning which was told is true: wherefore shut thou up the vision; for it shall be for many days. Da 8:27 And I Daniel fainted, and was sick certain days; afterward I rose up, and did the king's business; and I was astonished at the vision, but none understood it. Let us have some offerings if any have any. This is part of the scroll of prophecy not unrolled yet, can you unroll it? 1Jo 4:4 ¶ Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. Gibs Posted December 7, 2013 Author Posted December 7, 2013 To stir the interpretation pot a bit more, is not this "He Goat" not the "rough goat" in the latter verses as above? Da 8:5 And as I was considering, behold, an he goat came from the west on the face of the whole earth, and touched not the ground: and the goat had a notable horn between his eyes. Da 8:6 And he came to the ram that had two horns, which I had seen standing before the river, and ran unto him in the fury of his power. Da 8:7 And I saw him come close unto the ram, and he was moved with choler against him, and smote the ram, and brake his two horns: and there was no power in the ram to stand before him, but he cast him down to the ground, and stamped upon him: and there was none that could deliver the ram out of his hand. Da 8:8 Therefore the he goat waxed very great: and when he was strong, the great horn was broken; and for it came up four notable ones toward the four winds of heaven. Da 8:9 And out of one of them came forth a little horn, which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant land. Da 8:10 And it waxed great, even to the host of heaven; and it cast down some of the host and of the stars to the ground, and stamped upon them. Da 8:11 Yea, he magnified himself even to the prince of the host, and by him the daily sacrifice was taken away, and the place of his sanctuary was cast down. Da 8:12 And an host was given him against the daily sacrifice by reason of transgression, and it cast down the truth to the ground; and it practised, and prospered. Da 8:13 Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain saint which spake, How long shall be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice, and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot? OK, I know we will not have unity and harmony on this, and Charles Wheeling has wrestled with this for yrs. and I do not know his interpretation no more at all. I think though he did make some good points. Who is this "he goat" that comes from the west and touches not the ground and then this "little horn" that comes out of one of the four lesser horns of the "he goat"? I do believe this can be rightly unraveled now as we are at the place in time of the prophecy. We know that no prophecy is to be understood until it is time. I will not ridicule any for their offering on this and none should either or on anything else! If you believe you have a helpful point, please post it. 1Jo 4:5 They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them. 1Jo 4:6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error. 1Jo 4:4 ¶ Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. Samie Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 The Master Teacher, our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ, had already unrolled it for us, Bro Gibs. Bible prophecy expositors who did some explaining of Dan 8 seemed not to have directly consulted His own words on the subject, and arrived at force-pounding a square peg into a round hole. Now, having said that, I will challenge you to explore the Scriptures and see for yourself the beauty and real meaning of Daniel 8. Start with Matt 24:15-31. I know we will arrive at the same conclusion because you will likewise be led by the self-same Holy Spirit Who led me to it. Hint: What events are directly linked to the setting up of the abomination of desolation? Like the setting up of the AoD, all events directly linked to it, will all find fulfillment shortly before the Second Coming of our Lord. In Christ, Samie Quote
Gibs Posted December 7, 2013 Author Posted December 7, 2013 OK, then what is the AOD? Is it the Pope or Satan coming claiming to be Christ? These verses clear that up, Da 12:11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days Mr 13:14 ¶ But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains: It is a very end time prophecy, read, Da 12:8 And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things? Da 12:9 And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end. Da 12:10 Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand. Da 12:11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days. Da 12:12 Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days. Da 12:13 But go thou thy way till the end be: for thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days. Yes I know the scroll is unrolled, but few have come to see it and to them it is still unrolled! I could reveal more, but it is not yet time to do that. Mind sets on these prophecies will keep many from seeing the truth of them. Remember this verse I council all, Joh 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. Gibs Posted December 9, 2013 Author Posted December 9, 2013 When push comes to shove and it happens, I am a firm believer that it will be Satan standing up on this earth claiming to be Jesus Christ, Mr 13:14 ¶ But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains: Mr 13:15 And let him that is on the housetop not go down into the house, neither enter therein, to take any thing out of his house: So we see it is to happen no doubt soon! This is the ultimate abomination! 1Jo 4:4 ¶ Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. Quote A Freeman In Jesus Christ
