Snow Closures?

There are at least four area (Southern Oregon) Adventist Churches closed today due to inclement weather. Likely, there are more, I only know of four.

Temp is supposed to drop to less than 10 degrees today.

How is it in your area?

church as usual here in SE washington. it is about 10 degrees out, and expected to drop another 10 or so in the next 24 hours.

we do not have much snow, but it is very cold.

we do have a warming center opened in a local church, first time i have heard of this. shelter for those sleeping out of doors.

cots and blankets supplied by the red cross chapter in town.

for now just opened for this weekends low temps.

WV nice yesterday ... church as usual. Today (Sunday) lots of fluffy snow falling and 26 degrees. Meeting at church this PM, to distribute Christmas baskets & giving tree gifts; wishing for snow to stop and streets suddenly clear

Was told that Eugene had 6-8 inches of snow...and though it remains extremely cold, we are snowless here....with sunny skys on this part of the Oregon coast.

Snow still falling here ... almost every day we have sunshine for a portion of it ... praying sun will not let us down today and will break through this pm. All meetings at church cancelled. Yea ...

Hope you do not have any broken pipes. I am hoping that they remembered to leave the heat lamp on in my well house at home. Life's little challenges.

You have never gone out and done brodies in a snow dusted parking lot and got pulled over by the police???? it has always been fun .....except that last part of the sentence ending with the word "police".....

and the younger grandchildren always like making snow angels....as long as they were well bundled up....

You must have been a deprived child if you never made snow angels.....

My water is back, put a heater in the pump house. Obviously not frozen very much, just enough to keep the pump switch from turning on.

Spending youth in Ill, Nebr & Kans and believing I could do anything the guys could do ... cars were my hobby of choice. Snow dusted parking lot ... .how about solid ice parking lot; you can really do some good spins!!!

Almost as much fun as drag racing ... wanta see my trophies.

as for trophies, not sure I am willing to see them, especially if the skin is scarred.....

I was actually doing a little emergency brake drifting downtown the other day, just to test the traction limits (and well, to get-r sideways). Likely was freaking out anybody who saw me, from a distance. Thats a good thing, I would like them to stay back, well away from ME.

That reminds me, I need to wrap the pump switch with some insulate.
