Stan Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 I purchased clubadventist.com for $75.00 per year, then it dropped to $50 a couple of years later.. I was in my 40's then. Many have come and gone.. Some have passed to their rest Some have been encouraged by it Some have met and got married Some have had help dealing with divorce Some have been discouraged by it We went Open for Business in March 2000. It has been an interesting ride.. LifeHiscost Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 I have been spiritually enriched as a result of the unOfficial World Wide Adventist Forum. Where can I go to get all the varied requirements for continuing a satisfying relationship for both of us. God's richest blessings to you in this holiday season, Stan, and those you love. God cares! Moderators lazarus Posted December 14, 2013 Moderators Posted December 14, 2013 Stan, sounds like you planted the first SDA church online! The things you describe are like church. Quote Great spirits have always found violent opposition from mediocrities. The latter cannot understand it when a man does not thoughtlessly submit to hereditary prejudices but honestly and courageously uses his intelligence. Einstein

Windsor Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 Back then I was on the official SDA forum, Adventists Online run by Ralph Blodgett. When that died, I moved onto VOAF and now here. Adventists Online started October of 1998. Quote Remember Adventists Online?
M. T. Cross Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 Stan, my hat is off to you. You created a wonderful place and run it with class, dignity, wisdom and love. You sir are a good man that I HIGHLY respect and admire. Quote
Moderators Kevin H Posted December 14, 2013 Moderators Posted December 14, 2013 Glad to celebrate with this family!!! Quote
Windsor Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 Truly the death of Adventists Online led to the rise of Club Adventist along with Stan's leadership of course. Quote Remember Adventists Online?
nuff sed Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 Is that different than the www.AdventistOnline forum which is still functioning? Nuff sed Quote
Windsor Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 Is that different than the www.AdventistOnline forum which is still functioning? Nuff sed You linked to Adventist Online, a relatively recent forum not owned by the SDA church. I am unsure who runs it. Adventists (with an s) Online was a church run forum that started in 1998 that I was a member of until it was shut down. It became Babylon for confusion with every wind of doctrine flowing by. Many non Adventists made it their point to set the SDAs straight. Names like Del Star and Old Abe come to mind. There were many Adventists as well that had to set the rest of us straight. It was like CA on steroids. It became too much for Ralph and the other mods to control. The church wisely decided they could no longer be linked to that forum and shut it down. Quote Remember Adventists Online?
Administrators Naomi Posted December 15, 2013 Administrators Posted December 15, 2013 . It was like CA on steroids. I love that description!!! Except for checking in a few times I really felt that my battle armour inadequate to allow me to hang there. Windsor came up with a very appropriate description. Quote If your dreams are not big enough to scare you, they are not big enough for God
Moderators Gerr Posted December 15, 2013 Moderators Posted December 15, 2013 Thanks for CA, it has been a source of mental stimulation to me. Quote
