Hi Stan,

Have you ever been driving peacefully along the freeway when all of a sudden a flashing red light appears in your rear view mirror and a reflexive muscle in your right leg lifts your foot and plants it squarely on the brake pedal, with hopefully not too

much pressure as to indicate to the officer behind you that you know your traveling beyond a speed that you ought not to be traveling, even if your going just 35 miles/hour?

How'm I doing officer?

Here's something I ran into last night I thought you might appreciate. Is this seen as bribery? giggle

Can you give me a list of options for remaining a member of Club Adventist. We've run into a number of setbacks that have seriously compromised our discretionary income.

Oh, BTW, maybe this'll help.

"I have seen that everything [human] has its limits and end [no matter how extensive, noble, and excellent]; but Your commandment is exceedingly broad and extends without limits [into eternity].

Oh, how love I Your law! It is my meditation all the day.

You, through Your commandments, make me wiser than my enemies, for [Your words] are ever before me."

As part of my job I deal with situations where there are differences of opinion, often between senior management and an employee. In those situations the conversations are frank, explicit, clear and assertative.

Comments made in that context are always expected, listened to and recieved as long as they are appropriate. When they are not appropriate people are informed that the conversations will not be continued if that lack of appropriateness continues.

I have no problem with frank discussions either in this forum, in private or in the work-place.

Oftentimes the discussions here have been both frank and appropriate. Those should continue.

Unfortunately some of the discussions here have degenerated in personal attacks, name calling and simple abusive behavior that should not be tolerated.

Stan, you are right to step in which such occurs. People who are not here to engage in conversations--two way communicaiton, and only want theier right to talk, should not continue to have a right to come here.
