Seven-day Adventurers

I was just watching an old "All in the Family" episode where Mike and Gloria are expecting their first baby. Archie and Mike are arguing, because Mike is an atheist. Archie tells him, "that baby's going to have a religion, and I don't care if it's...." and proceeds to list religions, including, "Seven-day Adventurers."

lol

If we all sang the same note in the choir, there'd never be any harmony.

Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?

Hey! I like that! Wouldn't that be a great name for a religious group?

LOL Well, yeah, it could have been a lot worse!

...for God!

Seven day has a different meaning than seventh day. One sounds like a continuous experience vs a one day experience.

That was a powerful and amazing show. Too often we look at the friction between the left and the write. I read an article once that it was written to make people on both sides think, by making fun of and showing humorous extremes of both the left and the right. Archie who tended to be the "bigot" who did not want his feelings to show, and Mike the "open" Liberal, yet when push came to shove and there was a crisis, Mike tended to retreat into himself and had a better ability to be supportive of strangers than those close to him, and Archie would reluctantly be the one with the heart and be there for people.

Great points Kevin. Most(SDAs) look at it and just say "you shouldn't be watching this garbage." I look at shows and try to see the positive points its trying to make. Of course there are many shows that have no value at all. Especially many today.

I liked "All in the Family".....my mom wasn't too keen that we kids should be watching it, but had to "give in" because my father liked it. :)

There's not many classy television shows on today. Give me the old-time classics!!! (just saw one of the old "What's My Line?" programs the other night...pretty cool!)
