I can recall some pretty nasty weather 40-50 years ago in MN. It is really cold here now and the news channels are mostly weather. It is MN for crying out loud. There is another topic on this forum that has offended some privately.But of course it involves some rather offensive comments concerning "christians". Barely a ripple as to objecting to.. To be a young-earth creationist, you either have to tell lies, or repeat them without fact-checking them. To be a young-earth creationist, you have to pridefully and dishonestly assert that When everyone but your own tiny group in a relatively recent time in history is considered to have gotten it wrong, and you are sure that you have at last got it right, you can be fairly confident that you are in a cult that has deceived you. It is time for conservative Christians to say goodbye to young-earth creationism once and for all, just as they did with slavery. When someone makes a joke I don't like, I have learned to let it be at that. I have learned more and more how being a constant critic of others is demonic. Satan is the accuser of the brethren. It is Satan who accuses us night and day. I use to think the big sins in the world were killing and stealing but I have learned that what God really hates is gossip and pride. Wouldn't it be wonderful if the church was filled with humble people that always looked for the good in each other?
