Shawn Boonstra, VOP Speaker/Director Simi Valley, CA, January 6, 2014—The Voice of Prophecy will relocate to Loveland, Colorado sometime this fall. The relocation from current headquarters in Simi Valley, California follows the decision by Voice of Prophecy's parent organization, the North American Division, to close and sell the Adventist Media Center.

“We are excited to be re-booting the ministry in Colorado,” said Shawn Boonstra, speaker/ director. “Voice of Prophecy will always be about one thing, and one thing only—saving lost souls for eternity. Colorado will offer us a cost-effective, centrally located place to continue our evangelistic work, and to develop new and innovative outreach platforms. Technology has advanced in the last 84 years to the point that we can produce quality media content from almost anywhere. H.M.S. Richards started his evangelistic ministry in Colorado, and we can’t imagine a better place to relocate this ministry.”

The Voice of Prophecy plans to develop land adjacent to Campion Academy sometime in the near future. This fall they will move into temporary offices in Loveland. Victor Pires, manager/treasurer said, “The ministry will have the opportunity to grow and thrive in this new environment. The brightest days for the Voice of Prophecy are still ahead.”

The Voice of Prophecy headquarters has been at the Adventist Media Center since June 1978, from then until November 1995 in Newbury Park, California, and since 1995 at the present Simi Valley location. From the mid-1930s to 1978, Voice of Prophecy was based in Glendale (north of Los Angeles).

H. M. S. Richards began regular radio broadcasts on October 19, 1929 on KNX (AM) in Los Angeles. Later Richards presented daily live broadcasts of The Tabernacle of the Air over KGER in Long Beach, and live weekly remote broadcasts from his tabernacle to KMPC (AM) in Beverly Hills. In January 1937 his footprint expanded over a network of several stations of the Don Lee Broadcasting System, and the name of the broadcast was changed to the Voice of Prophecy. His first coast-to-coast broadcast over 89 stations of the Mutual Broadcasting System was on Sunday, January 4, 1942.

Really olger?

Seriously, can you go into any thread at all without being either condescending, rude, sarcastic and derisive or all at the same time?

Do you think that your actions are befitting of your Christian faith?

What drives this need of yours to derail every conversation?

Seriously, I pity you, worry about you and suggest you possibly seek some professional counseling.

Why did they decide to sell the media center? I remember when they built it on the one hand it was seen as a way to save money by having all the ministries use the one center, on the other hand I heard some of the leaders of these ministries lament having to move out of their old studios. So are they going back to individual studios? Is this going to be cost effective? I've always been interested in our media ministries so I'm wondering what's happening.

When I was a student at Campion, HMS Sr. came and spoke now and then. I had the impression he had attended the school, but maybe he just had a very warm spot in his heart for it. Of the two academies I attended, it was by far the more spiritual. I have never been able to tell for sure what made the difference, but I think we did have student leaders there who were more inclined toward things of God.

:) so the VOP is trading palm trees and the ocean for pine trees and snowy mountains... I always think of the former as a place to visit, but I'd rather *live* with the mountains and pine trees!!

If we all sang the same note in the choir, there'd never be any harmony.

Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?

My thoughts exactly. It was there excuse before, about all being in the same place, but I believe what they wanted was to be in California.
