Stan Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Of all professing Christians, Seventh-day Adventists should be foremost in uplifting Christ before the world. - EGW LHU 161 (Lift Him Up) Quote If you receive benefit to being here please help out with expenses. https://www.paypal.me/clubadventist Administrator of a few websites like https://adventistdating.com
Administrators Gail Posted February 1, 2014 Administrators Posted February 1, 2014 I wish for this to be true... There is some work to be done yet! Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
Administrators debbym Posted February 1, 2014 Administrators Posted February 1, 2014 God help us, Christ is the rock that is much heavier then we are. Our feeble strength cannot lift that Mighty Rock, we must have the power of God working to make this possible. Quote deb Love awakens love. Let God be true and every man a liar.
Members phkrause Posted February 1, 2014 Members Posted February 1, 2014 I'm in agreement Stan. In what ways can we do this? This is not directed at you personally Stan, but to all on this forum! One way that I know of, is for us to show more kindness toward one another. Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29;2
Members rudywoofs (Pam) Posted February 1, 2014 Members Posted February 1, 2014 I agree, but the statement also begs a question: is it important, or even necessary, to connect the uplifting of Christ to one's Adventist faith? I can think of arguments for both pro and con.. Quote Pam Meddle Not In the Affairs of Dragons; for You Are Crunchy and Taste Good with Ketchup. If we all sang the same note in the choir, there'd never be any harmony. Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?

The problem is when people come in here with a baseball bat and say EVERYONE LISTEN TO ME, and anyone who doesn't is a idiot or worse. No doubt that is a problem, maybe even one of the worst. But it does help to separate the wheat from the tares, for the wheat will for the most part put this principle below to practice, which I'm satisfied to believe will help any among the believers from judging anyone else as being beyond redemption. "Love bears up under anything and everything that comes, is ever ready to believe the best of every person, its' hopes are fadeless under all circumstances"1 Cor 13:7 AMP Of course then a major problem would be if one believes themselves in no need of redemption.
