Neil D Posted October 28, 2005 Posted October 28, 2005 [:"blue"]Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has dismissed international condemnation of his call for Israel to be "wiped off the map", saying his controversial remarks were "right and just." The official IRNA news agency quoted Mr. Ahmadinejad Friday as saying international scorn had no validity. He said his words express the views of the Iranian people. Tens of thousands of Iranians staged anti-Israel protests across the country today, trampling on Israeli and American flags and chanting "death to Israel." The latest events came amid Israeli calls for Iran's expulsion from the United Nations. U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan said Thursday the rights of all states in the Middle East to live in peace will top the agenda of his upcoming visit to Iran. Mr. Ahmadinejad made his controversial remarks Wednesday at a Tehran conference called "The World Without Zionism." [/] How can a world stand by and let this prejudice and hate go on? Moderators Bravus Posted October 29, 2005 Moderators Posted October 29, 2005 You couldn't write a better plot in which the US feels it is justified in going into Iran. Quote Truth is important
Dr. Shane Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 I don't think the US is too anxious for another invasion. However if Iran doesn't have some of the UN Security members on thier payroll, this kind of behavior may result in the UN preasuring the US to do something. I can't foresee an invasion although air strikes on specific targets may happen. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Find me at www.PostumCafe.com Author of Peculiar Christianity
