Unsettling thought

[nuff sed]

It is rather unsettling though we don't live 'out in the country' to walk out the door and see a dozen vultures high up in the trees just outside the yard watching and waiting. As we take refuge in the house we hear a thumping on the roof and wonder if our 'time has come'.

We take courage and peer out out into the back yard and there are more vultures out there fighting. And then we see what the commotion is all about. They found a dead raccoon and are having breakfast.....Whew!!!!!! (I hope that it was the one that has not only been stealing the food from the cat's dish every nite but also our pineapple and papaya just before we thought that they were ripe enough to pick .} Nuff Sed.
