Taylor Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 *dishonesty *people being two-faced *gossip *seeing peopl being taken advantage of or being abused. *feeling helpless in the face of so much poverty and genuine needs in our world. (I love doing all I can to help people but I long for heaven where the suffering ones won't have to suffer anymore.) *having to say goodbye to friends, especially on mission trips as I know I might not ever see them again till we get to heaven. *the smell of open sewers in some countries. *a rock under my sleeping bag when camping. *getting sick *death *weeds in the garden *poisenous snakes (others can be interesting but the poisenous ones I have seen in some countries...demand "respect".) *tacked on "morals" to the ends of stories. (Such a moral strikes me as an "Amen" at the end of the "chop sticks" diddy that people play on the piano.) *criticism if the one criticing isn't part of the solution. (Constructive criticms can be helpful but it needs to be done tastefully and in God's timing.) *seeing families ripped apart by death, divorce, or other tragic circumstances. (I know sometimes divorce is "necessary" but it is still sad.) *getting a phone call and finding that your pen or pencil won't work to jot something down Quote

Moderators Bravus Posted October 31, 2005 Moderators Posted October 31, 2005 What has the Worldwide Fund for Nature (WWF - formerly World Wildlife Fund) ever done to you? <img src="/ubbtreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> (They fought and won the acronym from the then World Wrestling Federation a couple of years ago. The wrasslin' is now called WWE, World(wide?) Wrestling Entertainment.) Quote Truth is important
Administrators Gail Posted October 31, 2005 Author Administrators Posted October 31, 2005 I think I used to be a member of the World Wildlife Fund- aren't they the folks who put out Owl and Chickadee magazines? But it's the wrestling that drives me round the bend. I have a personality change when someone has that on TV. I turn into some kind of Mrs. Hyde Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
