Moderators Gregory Matthews Posted February 23, 2014 Moderators Posted February 23, 2014 As our pastor began his sermon he faced the congregation and said: Everyone, pull out your cell phone and turn it on. Please text me as I preach if you have comments on what I am saying. My cell phone is on the desk, turned on, but silenced. When you text me, I will immediately get the message." A few minutes later he announced that he had received a message and he read the comment. Has anyone else seen this done? Quote Gregory

Administrators Naomi Posted February 23, 2014 Administrators Posted February 23, 2014 Actually I have seen it in a couple of churches. What I have not observed was the pastor responding to the comment during the sermon; they have usually stated that they would address the messages after the sermon. Or, they have an associate take the messages for them and only notify the pastor if it is something which is extremely pertinent to the message.
