The topic of this thread is not about telling people how they should live. And going back to the origin the baker made no attempt to tell others how to live. He quietly followed his conscience,which there seems to be little "tolerance" for on this forum. Were you offended by his actions? My point was about how a particular organization is free to operate despite its proven history of terrorism. Making the point that all people express prejudice is true but it at best tangential. Was I offended? Not sure how to answer that. I am not easily offended,nor was this something that was personal to me. I can see why some people would be. I thought it stupid,moronic,wrong,ignorant,uncalled for but not to the point where I think "There ought to be a law". Obviously he was hoping and looking for the response he got without actually doing anything illegal. But for all the wrong he did,it was done on his property within the law. As far as the KKK,I have not heard of them doing anything illegal in recent years. Tough to forbid an org. based on behavior of years ago other than spout their nonsense. I had a close friend that was heavily recruited by a Canadian chapter (or whatever they call their groups) and seriously they took care of dental, medical, and if you were to pass, they took care of the family. He said it was a better plan than any he had ever been offered at a job. He turned it down though. Quote
