Servant Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 And if so, what are your thoughts? The new season for this show began March 5. Like, dislike? Because... (please describe). Quote
Members phkrause Posted March 13, 2014 Members Posted March 13, 2014 Have you watched the TV show titled Preachers Daughters? No never watched this show Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29;2
Servant Posted March 13, 2014 Author Posted March 13, 2014 It's a reality show that features four preachers, and their rebellious daughters; one of whom is an Adventist. Quote
Moderators Jeannieb43 Posted March 13, 2014 Moderators Posted March 13, 2014 "One of whom"? Whom: the preacher or the daughter? or both? Quote Jeannie

...Change is inevitable; growth is optional....
Members rudywoofs (Pam) Posted March 13, 2014 Members Posted March 13, 2014 I'm not real impressed with the idea of cameras going into a Sabbath church service for the explicit purpose of showing all the *eye-rolling* and yawning of the daughter on this clip: http://www.wzzm13.com/story/news/local/k...y-show/6318479/ what's the point, other than a vicarious "thrill" that some folks get in watching the drama and pain of others? I did receive the GC's official stance on the program via email, but I didn't save it. Essentially, they said that all families have issues, and that there is a previous video series they've made addressing some of those issues. It read more like a "we don't want to get involved by making specific comments about the program" type of announcement. The fact is, the more people talk about the program, the more likely it is that folks will tune in to watch....so I'm not intending on writing any further about it. It's not worth my time... or as they say in Poland: "It's not my circus. They're not my monkeys." :) Quote Pam Meddle Not In the Affairs of Dragons; for You Are Crunchy and Taste Good with Ketchup. If we all sang the same note in the choir, there'd never be any harmony. Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?

Many PK's often go through rebellion which is not much different than other adolescence it's just magnified due to being a preacher's kid. I watched one of their shows and can't imagine it holding a large enough share of the audience to continue for long.
