Members rudywoofs (Pam) Posted March 15, 2014 Members Posted March 15, 2014 sometimes I wonder, did anyone ever ask Jesus if He was doing okay? Or was it all just *take, take take* from Him... Quote Pam Meddle Not In the Affairs of Dragons; for You Are Crunchy and Taste Good with Ketchup. If we all sang the same note in the choir, there'd never be any harmony. Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?
Members phkrause Posted March 15, 2014 Members Posted March 15, 2014 Great point Pam! I've never thought about that. Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29;2

Administrators debbym Posted March 15, 2014 Administrators Posted March 15, 2014 God is infinite. He suffered with Jesus, i am sure he heart broke when Jesus died. no one can comprehend that suffering. so i believe he deeply connects with the brokenhearted, even if they are suffering as sinful human beings. he sees the whole picture, the end from the beginning, so even though he sees all the suffering, he can also see the triumph of love over all the suffering that has come from the sin condition. He can see to the end of all misery, and the purity and peace throbbing throughout the universe at last forever. when we care about the love of God and His longing and suffering with sin to redeem more souls, this may inspire us to labor for the lost. Quote deb Love awakens love. Let God be true and every man a liar.
Members rudywoofs (Pam) Posted March 15, 2014 Author Members Posted March 15, 2014 But I don't think anyone ever inquired of Jesus whether He was okay, or not. Think back to the death of Lazarus, and Mary and Martha. The ladies were put out with Jesus because He didn't arrive in time to help Lazarus. Nobody (that we know of) bothered to ask Jesus how He was doing. Jesus was (and is) so taken for granted. The Lion of Judah had feelings too... LifeHiscost Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 [Every now and then I wonder how God must feel considering that He can see all the pain, the suffering, the injustices, and all the tragedies on this planet all at one time. We have the opportunity to to address those pains Jesus feels now. "Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:"Matthew 25:39-42 KJV God cares! Jesus saves! Quote Lift Jesus up!!

Nobody (that we know of) bothered to ask Jesus how He was doing. Jesus was (and is) so taken for granted. The Lion of Judah had feelings too... When I think of this I think of the gratitude He expressed when persons were thankful to Him or showed faith. He noticed gratitude so I would believe that His heart would also notice the lack of it. Think of the night at Gethsemane, where his disciples fell asleep when He needed them the most in His emotional anguish. Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
Administrators Gail Posted March 16, 2014 Administrators Posted March 16, 2014 I think also of how He knew the need of the people of a right understanding of God and His kingdom and yet they were so blind. He couldn't even tell his disciples all that He would have liked due to their not being able to bear what He had to say. How frustrating that must have been for Him! Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
Administrators Gail Posted March 16, 2014 Administrators Posted March 16, 2014 A good point of the poster in the OP is that in real life people who are considered strong are likely candidates for depression, as others depend on them more than they should (perhaps selfishly?) Part of the problem is that they agree to take on more responsibility than is healthy. You notice how much time Jesus spent in communication with His Heavenly Father. Sometimes it was whole nights spent in prayer! The demands on Him must have been tremendous. Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
