Members phkrause Posted March 25, 2014 Members Posted March 25, 2014 In a rare showing of bipartisanship, U.S. Speaker of the House of Representatives John Boehner and his predecessor, Nancy Pelosi, both Catholics, have both issued invitations for Pope Francis to address a joint session of Congress. http://religiousliberty.tv/pope-invited-to-address-congress-by-boehner-and-pelosi.html Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Administrators Naomi Posted March 26, 2014 Administrators Posted March 26, 2014 Yes, when I first heard this I raised an eyebrow, but it is just one more step into what has been prophesied. Quote If your dreams are not big enough to scare you, they are not big enough for God

Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29;2
CoAspen Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 Hmmmm, leaders of nations have addressed Congress before. The Pope is the head of a religious nation, so why not? Other types of people have addressed Congress before as well. I am not sure why this would be an issue or a 'prophecy' thing. Quote
