Moderators Gregory Matthews Posted March 26, 2014 Moderators Posted March 26, 2014 The following comments are adopted from an article, by Nancy Lofholm, in the march 26 issue of THE DENVER POST. Eleven year-old Delaney Clements, has been fighting neuroblastoma for four years. As a result of treatments she presently is bald. Third grader, Kamryn Renfro, who attends Caprock Academy, a charter school, decided to shave her head bald to support Delaney who does not attend Caprock. Caprock Academy informed Kamryn that she could not attend classes due to her violation of the school dress code. A social-media firestorm erupted over this. Caprock Academy has allowed Kamryn to return to class. Quote Gregory
Members rudywoofs (Pam) Posted March 26, 2014 Members Posted March 26, 2014 nice of the girl to support her friend, but perhaps her parents should have known about the school edict and planned accordingly by contacting them prior to their daughter's unannounced arrival sans hair and explained the situation... (not sure about the social media "firestorm" - I haven't seen a thing about it on Facebook) Quote Pam Meddle Not In the Affairs of Dragons; for You Are Crunchy and Taste Good with Ketchup. If we all sang the same note in the choir, there'd never be any harmony. Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?
