Very distant cousins maybe......
I was born into the family of God by birth.

My Father is God the Spirit. If you say that Jesus is your God,

then my brother is your God!

Jesus is my brother.

His God is my God.

My God is His God.

His Father is my Father.

My Father is His Father.

I don't say Jesus is my God, so that's why I say a very distant cousin.

It brings up an interesting thought though.

I am a fairly hard polytheist. That is to say I believe in the existence of many Gods (including the Christian ones)and I believe that each of them is a unique individual.

But are they all related? Do they have a "bloodline" so to speak in common? Or are they simply a species of much higher intelligence, knowledge and power than us?

According to Jesus! Yes, he has claimed us as his brother and His father God, is our Father. So I have no problem with that, I claim it!! Praise the Lord for a brother like Jesus and a Father like God.

And it's nice to know our elder Brother is also our best Friend.

And if we feel we're not good enough to be called His friend, it is good to remember Jesus even called His betrayer, friend.

"No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you."John 15:15 NKJV

"Then cometh he to his disciples, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.

Rise, let us be going: behold, he is at hand that doth betray me.

And while he yet spake, lo, Judas, one of the twelve, came, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from the chief priests and elders of the people.

Now he that betrayed him gave them a sign, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that same is he: hold him fast.

And forthwith he came to Jesus, and said, Hail, master; and kissed him.

And Jesus said unto him, Friend, wherefore art thou come? Then came they, and laid hands on Jesus and took him."

Matthew 26:45-50 NKJV

Jesus' desire to take us with Him to His home is unparalleled.

God cares! Jesus saves! peace

Lift Jesus up!!
