Members rudywoofs (Pam) Posted May 21, 2014 Members Posted May 21, 2014 This was an interesting study just published today in Portland. The study used 6 individuals, 3 white and 3 black men in their 20's, dressed identically, in a series of 168 single crosswalk trials, over the course of 5 days in Sept, Oct, and Nov. Each day used was "clear weather" and in the off-peak hours of mid-morning and mid-afternoon. The study showed over twice as many drivers passed the black men than they did the white men. It's even more distressing because Oregon law requires all vehicles to stop and yield to any and all pedestrians. Here's the study: HERE Quote Pam Meddle Not In the Affairs of Dragons; for You Are Crunchy and Taste Good with Ketchup. If we all sang the same note in the choir, there'd never be any harmony. Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?
