Members phkrause Posted June 7, 2014 Members Posted June 7, 2014 Nothing says "summer" like the spine-tingling terror of a new thrill ride. For 2014, theme parks across the nation are set to welcome several scary attractions, from zigzagging roller coasters to freefalling towers to a human slingshot. Here are 13 notable and nerve-fraying debuts. http://www.smartertravel.com/photo-galle...d=760&all=1 Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29;2
Members phkrause Posted June 7, 2014 Author Members Posted June 7, 2014 I don't really care for roller coaster rides. Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29;2
Moderators Gregory Matthews Posted June 7, 2014 Moderators Posted June 7, 2014 I have never liked them and I like them less as I get older. I would much rather step out of an airplane at 4,500 feet AGL or a helicopter at 90 feet AGL. Both of which I have done. :) Quote Gregory
Aliensanctuary Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 I turned green after riding the "Boomerang" at Six Flags, and while riding the "Zipper" at our local fair, my keys flew out of my pocket and landed on the ground. I did find them after the ride stopped. I didn't puke afterwards, but others were not so fortunate. Quote The Parable of the Lamb and the Pigpen https://www.createspace.com/3401451
Administrators Tom Wetmore Posted June 7, 2014 Administrators Posted June 7, 2014 I have always liked and still like crazy stuff like this. Most memorable was bungy jumping and front row of Kings Dominion stand up roller coaster. Hersey Park's newest (can't remember its name) was pretty close. Two days ago my daughter and I did the Rocking Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror at Disney's Hollywood Studio theme park. Alien, I remember the Zipper from going to the county fairs as a kid. My brother did barf after getting off! Quote "Absurdity reigns and confusion makes it look good." "Sinless perfection is such a shallow goal." "I love God only as much as the person I love the least." *Forgiveness is always good news. And that is the gospel truth. (And finally, the ideas expressed above are solely my person views and not that of any organization with which I am associated.)
Members rudywoofs (Pam) Posted June 7, 2014 Members Posted June 7, 2014 I'd probably throw up.. Quote Pam Meddle Not In the Affairs of Dragons; for You Are Crunchy and Taste Good with Ketchup. If we all sang the same note in the choir, there'd never be any harmony. Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?
