Police say the dad saw a series of texts on Thursday between the 42-year-old teacher and his daughter, a 15-year-old student. The girl's mother deemed them "inappropriate for a teacher and a student" to be sharing, News Net 5 reports. Investigators didn't agree and never charged the teacher with a crime, but the situation took a downturn later that day when the unidentified teacher showed up at the girl's house. He wanted to speak to the girl's father, but was told to leave, CBS local reports. When he refused, the dad reportedly whacked him with a baseball bat. The teacher sustained minor injuries. Police arrived at the Nottingham home at about 9:45 p.m., but the teacher didn't press charges. The Crimes Against Children Unit continues to investigate, according to The Baltimore Sun. Hard to conclude anything either way unless we know what was in the texts, and maybe also what words were exchanged when the teacher showed up at the house. I can imagine an equally plausible story where either, both, or neither party is the "bad" guy depending on those details we're not made aware of. Quote I believe in life before death

I bet lots of teachers have the cell numbers of their students. So really we need to know what the texts say. Now the teacher coming to the house and not leaving, that's the odd thing. What did he hope to gain by doing that? There isn't any reason for a teacher having the cell phone number of a student. When he does, he announces it to the congregation and comments on the text that he got. YEs, I know that this is different. With the number of teachers and SDA pastors that have inappropriate sexual contact with students and members,any pastor or teacher hat thinks it is necessary to contact one of mine,can do so thru the home phone. Land line and lacking that I am sure the parents have a cell phone.If a parent believes there is something in appropriate in contact between teacher and student,then they should meet.
