Moderators Gerr Posted June 23, 2014 Moderators Posted June 23, 2014 Have you ever gone on a tour with a non-SDA travel company. How do you handle the Sabbath issue? Quote

Quote Pam Meddle Not In the Affairs of Dragons; for You Are Crunchy and Taste Good with Ketchup. If we all sang the same note in the choir, there'd never be any harmony. Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?

Members phkrause Posted June 23, 2014 Members Posted June 23, 2014 Just wondering what a person would like to visit on the Sabbath in Israel? I for one would love to see everything. :) Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29;2

Yes, I made up my mind what to do beforehand. But let me rephrase the question. If you were to join a non-SDA touring group, what are your plans when Sabbath comes around? Quote
Members rudywoofs (Pam) Posted June 23, 2014 Members Posted June 23, 2014 Let me rephrase the question. If you were to join a non-SDA touring group, what are your plans when Sabbath comes around? It might depend on which country I was in, but generally, if I was part of a non-SDA touring group, I would enjoy the touring sights and meals that had been prepared for me. If there was no "set" itinerary on the Sabbath, I might look up a church to attend prior to the tour. However, in some countries, it might not be wise to go toodling around the country or in a city by yourself. Moderators Gregory Matthews Posted June 23, 2014 Moderators Posted June 23, 2014 Again, I would have made that decision before I signed up with the tour group. For many tours, it is not possible to deviate from the group on some days. I would have their schedule. I would know if that were possible. I would decide as to whether or not my expected activities were within my standards. If not, I would not join. Quote Gregory
