Members rudywoofs (Pam) Posted July 10, 2014 Members Posted July 10, 2014 Take the short quiz of sample questions to be used in Manhattan's private schools for kindergartners... The QUIZ (I wouldn't get in.... lol) Quote Pam Meddle Not In the Affairs of Dragons; for You Are Crunchy and Taste Good with Ketchup. If we all sang the same note in the choir, there'd never be any harmony. Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?
Administrators Gail Posted July 10, 2014 Administrators Posted July 10, 2014 Yes, you would! This test reminds me of IQ tests. But I tend not to like testing kids. If the child finds it fun, then okay. I liked doing puzzles as a kid. But kids should enjoy their time being a kid, not stressing over exams. It makes me think the test is for the parents' ego rather than for the good of the child. Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
Aliensanctuary Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 Missed the first one. I might dispute the supposedly correct answer. Seems a little tough for kindergarteners from USA, unless they're coached. Quote The Parable of the Lamb and the Pigpen https://www.createspace.com/3401451
Members phkrause Posted July 10, 2014 Members Posted July 10, 2014 I guess I'd get in today, but if this was like 63 years ago, not sure I'd get all those questions right. And not only that, what if they had a time requirement! No way would I have gotten in. LOL Not only that, here in Florida kids have to be 5 yo by Sept 1 otherwise they have to wait a whole year to get into kinder-garden. But that's PS, not sure about private school's. Moderators Gregory Matthews Posted July 10, 2014 Moderators Posted July 10, 2014 What is the score required to get in? I missed the 1st one, as I suspect most did. Quote Gregory
