When I come to heaven Lord, what shall I bring,

________My golden necklace, and my diamond ring?

I have some great treasures, of jade, ivory and bone,

________And aren't we judged Lord, by what we own?

My important position, I've climbed up so high,

________There isn't anything, my money won't buy.

So tell me again Lord, just what are your needs?

________I've helped you a lot, by doing good deeds.

I sent this to my brother some years ago, after I had already received Jesus as Caretaker and Savior of my soul. He wasn't any known professor to me, of any religious belief at all. I wanted him to be with me when I got there but never received any acknowledgement to the letter I had sent.

It was perhaps 10 years later, after he had died in an auto accident and I was asked to come up where he had lived and worked most of his life, that I ran into the plaque the poem had been written on, on his desk where he worked, along with another picture on the wall with the poem "Footprints in the Sand", along with another depiction of Jesus embracing and welcoming someone home.

I've also prayed to see my brother in the kingdom someday, and I have this prayer and promise to give me the assurance that hope will turn to reality.

"Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven."

Matt 18:19 NASB
