Sojourner Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Greetings all, Just wondering if your church has a facebook page and if you might like to share it with us? We have put together a facebook page designed for ministry in our local community and I would like to have a look at what other Adventist churches do with their facebook pages to see if I can get any ideas to make ours better or more relevant. https://www.facebook.com/paravistasda Quote
Moderators Gregory Matthews Posted August 9, 2014 Moderators Posted August 9, 2014 Congratulations on a website that looks good and gives out a great amount of information. The website gives information for two SDA Churches: Morphett Vale & Paravista. I note that it is not immediately easy to obtain contact information if one would want to either visit or contact those two churches. I did find such for Morphett Vale, but was unable to do so for Paravista. Perhaps, contact information could be more available. I find it interesting that a photo, with a quotation from EGW related to Christian work that should be done, features a Salvation Army clergyperson. Well, the photo did not say that it was a photo of work being done by the Paravista congregation. Anyway, overall, congratulations. Quote Gregory
Sojourner Posted August 9, 2014 Author Posted August 9, 2014 Thank you Gregory for your thoughts and observations, I am not sure why the Morphett Vale information is coming up other than that we liked their page from our page, but I will look into it. We had our youth pastor give a really good sermon the other week on the Good Samaritan, she then showed a video from England where people as actors fell down in public mimicking symptoms of heart attacks and so forth and the point of the video was that people would not actually stop nor get involved - until someone else did, when one person eventually stopped to help, suddenly people surrounded them from everywhere. It was from that sermon that I did that picture with the Ellen White quote. Quote
