Members phkrause Posted August 16, 2014 Members Posted August 16, 2014 Nothing says America like deep-fried food, butter sculptures, and dubious carnival rides. Whether you like livestock, musical shows, or food on a stick, there's a state fair out there for you. Here are 10 favorites across the country. http://www.smartertravel.com/photo-galle...d=826&all=1 Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Moderators Kevin H Posted August 17, 2014 Moderators Posted August 17, 2014 I go to the New York State Fair every year that I've been in New York when it's been running since I was about 16. Traditionally summer starts with Campmeeting and ends with the New York State Fair. I have also worked there many times, first with the Air National Guard and now with my current job at the Greater Binghamton Health Center at the Office of Mental Health booth. Let me know if you are going to be there and PM me and I'll tell you what evening I'll be working and stop by and say "Hello!" I live only about 2 hrs away from the fair. Quote
