Because our brains are computer-like, I believe that evil extraterrestrial beings can spam human beings with malware and spyware via a force similar to quantum entanglement. Quantum entanglement occurs when a change to one subatomic particle is mimicked by another linked subatomic particle, possibly light-years away. By introducing malware to our brains, followers of Satan can alter or damage the circuitry, resulting in illnesses, seizures, anger, suppression of conscience and remorse, and criminal acts, including horrific murders.

By studying and practicing the teachings of Christ, we can resist the malware trying to access and damage our brains. Thus, the love of YHVH and of our fellow humans, and the practice of self-sacrifice for the good of others acts as a kind of a firewall to block access to the spam of evil thoughts, followed by evil acts. Thus, love is more powerful than evil.

I don't know very much about witchcraft, but I believe its practitioners seek to communicate with Satan and the evil extraterrestrial beings aligned with him. I'm not sure if the damage caused by demonic malware can be reversed, but probably so. Christ blocked demonic access to a number of individuals who seemed to return to normality afterwards.

In the TV series Dr Who, The Kaleds lived on Skaro, their minds and bodies become polluted with nuclear side affects because of the nuclear war between them and the Thals, Davros who is an anti type of Satan accelerates this process and introduces new material into their minds, at the same time stripping away emotion to build a master race. Along the way their thoughts are turned towards death and destruction - Sound familiar?

it depends on the practitioner... in general (but by no means all-inclusive) those on the RHP are not interested in Satan or any of his minions. Those on the LHP *do* communicate with him.... and in much the same way that Christians "communicate" with the Biblical God.

I'm not going to go into specifics about how to communicate with Satan.

Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?

When we open ourselves to communication with beings in the spiritual realm, it has been my experience that you open yourself up to communication with the good and the bad. Is that God telling me what an unworthy slackard I am or is that satan? Is that God telling me to let go of that offense or is that satan turning me into a patsy? Satan can make himself look/sound like an angel of light; and angels can be scary enough to appear/sound evil, even though they are not.

How can you tell the difference? "To the law and to the testimony..." (Isaiah 8:20)

I guess it's possible. What about the possibility that the mentions of Satan and demons in the Bible are metaphors for our proclivity to choose wrong, and to become evil after enough wrong choices. Do we need a real-life Satan to make us do bad things?

If Satan is a real character where does he or she live? Is it a human? Does it need oxygen and water and food? Or is it a spirit being? If it's a spirit being, would it be equipped to reside on earth, which is where, according to Revelation 12, it was cast down to?

If Satan is able to and does live on earth, what country does he (lets say "he" for now) live in, and how does he avoid being scoped by his next door neighbour and posted on youtube? Is he invisible?

After thinking about it for a while I'm inclined to go with the metaphor/human-proclivity idea. But I could well be wrong there.

one of the first threads I posted on in C/A nearly 10 years ago was regarding the "Doctrines of demons"...

I'd forgotten about it...

In the last great conflict of the controversy with Satan those who are loyal to God will see every earthly support cut off. Because they refuse to break His law in obedience to earthly powers, they will be forbidden to buy or sell. It will finally be decreed that they shall be put to death. See Revelation 13:11-17. But to the obedient is given the promise, “He shall dwell on high: his place of defense shall be the munitions of rocks: bread shall be given him; his waters shall be sure.” Isaiah 33:16. By this promise the children of God will live. When the earth shall be wasted with famine, they shall be fed. “They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.” Psalm 37:19. To that time of distress the prophet Habakkuk looked forward, and his words express the faith of the church: “Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labor of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation.” Habakkuk 3:17, 18. {DA 121.3}

I was converted from atheism and joined the SDA church 9 years ago but I still struggle with what the church officially believes regarding Revelation 13 and 14. Ellen White wrote that in the last days only those who are in God’s remnant church, which are the only ones who will be keeping all the commandments including the 4th, meaning observing the Saturday Sabbath, will be saved.

If that’s the case, what are we to believe of those who die before the last days – do they also have to keep the Saturday Sabbath as well as all the other commandments to be saved?

My Sabbath School group agree this can’t be right, since we believe we are saved by faith alone. But what is the official position of the General Conference, given what Ellen White has to say in regard to this? I can see Mrs White’s point, being branded with the mark of the beast is not gonna look good on your CV when applying for entry to heaven.

She's talking about the last days, when the Sabbath will become a test to all that are still living. If you read the Great Controversy you will find, I believe, where she mentions that there will be many Sunday keepers in Heaven.

Christ encountered Satan during his wilderness temptation, referring to him as being a dragon on several occasions, and we see that repeated in Rev. Perhaps Satan is a sapient, telepathic dragon, able to occupy the minds of other beings, including humans. Either his followers, aka demons, are located somewhere in a distant galaxy, or they're locked up somewhere beneath Earth's oceans, awaiting the day of their release from their prison.

When we see mankind's evil behavior all around us, even harming us, we should take into consideration the likelihood that the perpetrators of evil are being manipulated by evil, telepathic beings. Left alone, the perpetrators of evil might somehow make choices that do not result in harm to others. As Christ indicated, we must forgive everyone who has wronged us so we in turn can be forgiven the wrongs we have done to others, because we, too, have been manipulated by the demons of selfishness.

So if we find ourselves with a machete at our necks and are told to convert to Islam or die, we can repeat Christ's words and say, "Father forgive them because they don't know what they are doing." It's better be loyal to YVHV, the God of Life, and die rather than give our loyalty to the God of Death.

The Great Deception of Satan is that he portrays life in his Kingdom as a life of pleasure, but in reality, his servants must endure torture, privation, and abuse, as we see happening to the hapless victims of radical Islam.

If the Messengers of Satan (evil angels, demons) are human-like as are some of the Messengers of the LORD, then perhaps they are imprisoned now in a state of suspended animation with just their minds active, still having the ability to troll human minds telepathically.
