Something is broken, when the concern is the sex gender rather than what gets accomplished.

sorta like refusing to eat a meal if a woman did the cooking... despite the fact that she not only was meticulous in her preparation and choice of foods, but also knew how to decorate a cake, and had talent in setting a delightful table, to boot...

If we all sang the same note in the choir, there'd never be any harmony.

Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?

Seems almost like the juvenile boy reaction, "Yuck, girl cooties!"

"Absurdity reigns and confusion makes it look good."

"Sinless perfection is such a shallow goal."

"I love God only as much as the person I love the least."

*Forgiveness is always good news. And that is the gospel truth.

(And finally, the ideas expressed above are solely my person views and not that of any organization with which I am associated.)

And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, We will eat our own bread, and wear our own apparel: only let us be called by thy name, to take away our reproach.
  Isaiah 4:1 (KJV)

Eve had been perfectly happy by her husband's side in her Eden home; but, like restless modern Eves, she was flattered with the hope of entering a higher sphere than that which God had assigned her. In attempting to rise above her original position, she fell far below it. A similar result will be reached by all who are unwilling to take up cheerfully their life duties in accordance with God's plan. In their efforts to reach positions for which He has not fitted them, many are leaving vacant the place where they might be a blessing. In their desire for a higher sphere, many have sacrificed true womanly dignity and nobility of character, and have left undone the very work that Heaven appointed them.  {PP 59.1}

Satan chooses women, for he can use them more  successfully than he can men.--Ms. 29, 1911, p.13. ("Fragments of Old Testament History,"November 17,1911.)..Ellen White Estate

Sunday, a child of the Papacy, has taken the place of God's holy Sabbath. As Nebuchadnezzar made a golden image, and set it up to be worshiped by all, so Sunday is placed before the people to be regarded as sacred. This day bears not a vestige of sanctity, yet it is held up to be honored by all. {RH, April 27, 1911 par. 6}

uh huh.  And women should never be physicians with male patients...and male physicians should not be obstetricians.

If that was the way of it, there'd be a lot more dead people gracing the cemeteries right now.

Here's the quote...

"The light given me of the Lord in this matter is that as far as possible lady physicians should care for lady patients, and gentlemen physicians have the care of gentlemen patients ... any unnecessary exposure of ladies before male physicians is wrong ... women should be educated and qualified just as thoroughly as possible to become practitioners in the delicate disease which affect women, that their secret parts should not be exposed to the notice of men ... it is a most horrible practice, this revealing the secret parts of women to men, or men being treated by women. Women physicians should utterly refuse to look upon the secret parts of men ... It is not in harmony with the instructions given at Sinai that Gentlemen physicians should do the work of midwives. The Bible speaks of women at childbirth being attended by women, and thus it ought always to be." (Counsels on Health, p. 363-4-5).

Hopeful One:  Your post about women being used by Satan was interesting.  It was even more interesting as written by EGW.  In her original statement, EGW was talking about Jezebel and Ahab and how Satan used Jezebel to trap.  If you look at the two sentences that come before the sentence that you quoted, you see that EGW was specifically talking about unconcecrated women, such as Jezebel.  It really does not look to me like EGW generalized it to cover all women.

Further, if you read that citation from EGW about a Christian woman, that is printed in your source document just prior to your citation, you will see that EGW is presenting an example of a woman  that is much different.

Taken in the full context which includes other statements of EGW, I do not think that one can generalize the statement that you cited.

For Adam was first formed, then Eve.
And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.
  1 Tim 2:11-15 (KJV)

Satan went after eve on purpose because satan knew he could get to her. EGW is not referring to all women,but maybe the ones with an agenda"unconsecrated women" as you put it. Jezebel was the only women priest in the bible and she used her powers of persuasion to get what she wanted.She knew who to manipulate and how to manipulate.
I agree a woman can lead and teach and be a prophet. They can do all these things without being ordained. EGW was not ordained nor any other women from scripture.

I know i can never be right about this ,especially on this forum,but others with better credentials than me like Doug Bachelor, Steven Bohr,Joe Olson helped me see what scripture has to say about this. To be fair i listened to Dwight Nelsons sermon knowing he was pro ordination and all he did was trash two key bible verses and then shares a portion of a quote from EGW, then telling you what he thinks it means. In the end it was just his opinion

This is what happens when people have an agenda:

And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, We will eat our own bread, and wear our own apparel: only let us be called by thy name, to take away our reproach....Isaiah 4:1 (KJV)

My apologies to any women who was offended by the EGW quote above. But i believe she meant "women" which is plural and not "woman" which would refer to one woman such as Jezebel.
