Moderators LynnDel Posted September 20, 2014 Moderators Posted September 20, 2014 A little over a year ago I went to a presentation by one of EGW's grandsons at the St. Helena, CA, church, and he told all about the White family and some of the collateral lines. He shared a family tree that was complete from EGW to his generation (he was probably about 70). I was amazed to see how the family had multiplied! But I suppose most families multiply like that; it's not often you get to see the names all spread out before you.I regret that I no longer have my copy of the family tree that he shared with us. Sometimes the info on the memorial isn't correct, though, so even there, you need to pay attention to see if the data matches up with other info out there. D. Members rudywoofs (Pam) Posted September 20, 2014 Members Posted September 20, 2014 I had done a "brief" tree on Ellen White's family, just for the fun of it....mostly on her ancillary lines to see what they did. From what I recall, it appeared that very, very few of her relatives became SDA, though there were some who were ministers in other denominations. I love working with family trees and finding stories on long-gone individuals that turns the dry bones back into living memories! TruthSeeker123 Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 I always wondered what happened to her descendants, whether they are still in the church or not. Quote

Administrators Tom Wetmore Posted May 13, 2015 Administrators Posted May 13, 2015 I recently learned a bit of my family history trivia involving a EGW descendant. When my father and mother got married in 1947, a friend of my father was supposed to be the photographer but did not show up. Consequently there are no known photographs from their wedding day. The friend was a great-grandson of Ellen White. Quote "Absurdity reigns and confusion makes it look good." "Sinless perfection is such a shallow goal." The guy who started Round Table Pizza, well know in the land of LynnDel, was a grandson of EGW, later on in life he 'got it' and understood. He also sold the chain. I have one anscestor of eight generations above me (oops, got my fingers out and counted them up to only 6 generations!) and he has 30,000 cataloged descendents. A large number, including my grandfather down, are not even listed. Moderators LynnDel Posted May 20, 2015 Author Moderators Posted May 20, 2015 I forget the name of the White grandson who was the CEO of Round Table, but I heard him speak at the Modesto Adventist Academy graduation one year. I'm guessing that was in the late 80s. Quote LD
