The 144,000 and Great Multitude

Is it a more comforting thought to believe that the 144,000 are NOT those left standing when all is done?

 

But rather, as the Shepherd's Rod allege, will be sealed before the cleansing of the church, at the cleansing of the church will then go out and bring in a "great multitude" of the nations?

Hi Teresa, I have pondered this (although not from the Shepherd's Rod POV).  This is just my personal opinion; I'm not trying to start a debate.  I'm a pretty simple guy; and believe that many times, the simplest explanation is the most likely (Acham's Razor?).  There are many different ways to explain the 144,000 - many with scripturally sound pros and cons.

 

After much study (by my accounting), I am of the opinion that the 144,000 are literal blood descendants of Jacob - a remnant of 12,000 from each tribe.  The great multitude is everyone else who is saved by the grace of Jesus Christ (the ONLY way to be saved).
