Sojourner Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 Do the Scriptures teach that there will be a great harvest of souls in the Arab and/or Muslim world in the last days before Christ returns? Quote
JoeMo Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 And in the last days it shall be, God declares, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams; even on my male servants and female servants in those days I will pour out my Spirit, and they shall prophesy. And I will show wonders in the heavens above and signs on the earth below, blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke; the sun shall be turned to darkness and the moon to blood, before the day of the Lord comes, the great and magnificent day. And it shall come to pass that everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.’ Acts 2:17-21 I would imagine all flesh included Islamic flesh. Quote
LifeHiscost Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 And it shall come to pass that everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.’ Acts 2:17-21 I would imagine all flesh included Islamic flesh. Very good observation. The key of the kingdom that permits it to be so is, "everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord". I had a relative of past years who is of a different religious persuasion, that questions the relationship between God the Son, and God the Father re: Divine paternity. Do you think that might be a deciding factor when it comes to developing trust (faith) in who one is going to depend on when the Way gets very narrow? 13When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do people say the Son of Man is?” 14They replied, “Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” 15“But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?” 16Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.” 17Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven. 18And I tell you that you are Peter,b and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hadesc will not overcome it. 19I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will bed bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will bee loosed in heaven.” Matt 16 God is Love! Jesus saves! Quote Lift Jesus up!!
JoeMo Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 LHC, Good question. My answer is "yes". I also think that eventually, everyone who has ever lived will have an opportunity to make an informed and intelligent decision for or against the narrow way. Quote
Moderators Gerr Posted November 15, 2014 Moderators Posted November 15, 2014 I have heard from a few sources that there are a number of Muslims who have become SDAs or other Christian denominations because of dreams. Quote
Ted Oplinger Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 For the prophetic promises contained in Joel 2:28, 29 and Matthew 24:18 to be fulfilled, it means the Mohammedan insulation will be removed from the lands it currently controls - as well as Communism's insulation over the peoples it controls. It means that the current political situation in the US - the establishment of a centralized state authority governing everything and excluding Christian faith - will ultimately fail. That is not to say these influences won't be around - it means they will fail in the attempt to neutralize Christianity as an impact on societies and cultures around the world. Nearly everyone thought Communism as going to last in the Soviet Union until the end of time. For the Gospel work to advance in the old Soviet Union, the wall had to come down, and the Union fall. What seemed an impossibility in June, 1989, became reality for the Gospel to spread into Russia after November, 1989. The Bible recognizes only two groups at the end: the Remnant of God, and those opposed to the Remnant, comprised of an amalgamation of every belief mankind wants to offer to God except the very thing God asks for in the first place. It will be Cain and Abel on a global scale. Except this time, Abel lives... As it was in the beginning, so shall it be in the end... Blessings, Quote "As iron sharpens iron, so also does one man sharpen another" - Proverbs 27:17 "The offense of the cross is that the cross is a confession of human frailty and sin and of inability to do any good thing. To take the cross of Christ means to depend solely on Him for everything, and this is the abasement of all human pride. Men love to fancy themselves independent. But let the cross be preached, let it be made known that in man dwells no good thing and that all must be received as a gift, and straightway someone is offended." Ellet J. Aliensanctuary Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 Radical Islam sounds to me a lot like the 4th Beast of the Revelation with its "convert or die" mentality. A world controlled by radical Islam would tolerate few, if any, Christians because of its links to Satan, the God of Death and the Hater of Christ. Perhaps those in Islam who see the goodness in the teachings of Christ will turn to follow him, and die. Quote The Parable of the Lamb and the Pigpen https://www.createspace.com/3401451
