I guess I just can't relate to the need for this.  Don't both men and women have the same spiritual needs?  The Bible addresses sin, its place in our hearts and lives, and what the solution to these problems is.  How does that differ between men and women?  Is sin somehow different in a woman than a man, or vice versa?  Is the solution for men different than the solution for women?  For the life of me I can't see how it is.

I'd really like to hear from the women on this forum as to how they see things, and how/why men and women need different Bibles.

I suspect that the hard-drives do differ between the genders. :)

For instance the verse in the Song of Solomon that talks about the lover holding his beloved with his left hand (I forget the exact wording now) seems to me would be a better visual of Christ's love for a woman than a man. But who knows?

I do believe that there is some guy stuff for the men and some gal stuff for the girls, as well as verses that can be applied to either gender by applying the principle involved

Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.

I like study Bibles. The Comments do a couple things for me. They inform me as to what's out there in the way of opinions AND they kind of add to the discussion like members of a group.

I guess I'd have to read the exact passage to understand what you're saying, but it looks to me that you're imputing some kind of sexual thing into this?  I'd really like to see some examples of "guy" vs "girl" stuff as I don't remember ever seeing anything like this.

I have a hard time seeing how any sin is gender specific so try to educate me if you would.

The Song of Solomon is full of sex. But here is the verse in question:

"Song of Solomon 2:6

His left hand is under my head, and his right hand doth embrace me."

Using sanctified imagination, though, I see it as a woman would- a place of being safe, loved and protected.

Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.

The Bible is more than just a book about sin... How about a picture of God's love?

I think about Isaiah 54 and its message to the barren and forsaken women (also widows). The principle of the message can be applied to either gender of God's children, but I have known the chapter to be especially meaningful to women who have gone through a divorce, childlessness or widowhood.

Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
