Joe_in_RP Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 We don't know all the details in the Philippines killing. This is a very dangerous area of the Philippines. There is a large amount of rebellious activity. This island is Mindanao, it is known for its fighting and revenge killings. Just like the story of the Hatfield and McCoy's in America. He was part of a group of people shot. To me it looks unlikely that he was not singled out. It was probably a case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. In this part of the country violence is common. Most of the Western embassies have warnings about traveling in this area. While there have been many workers, Bible workers, pastors, and others killed because of their religious work, it's unlikely that was the case here. More likely he was just working in a very dangerous location. Quote
