LookingForReligion Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 Survey: http://curioustim2.polldaddy.com/s/mostcorrectreligion I am trying to learn more about the answers people receive when they pray about religion. So I put together a quick 1 minute survey. Please take it! Quote
Members rudywoofs (Pam) Posted October 30, 2014 Members Posted October 30, 2014 sorry.... maybe I'm strange, but it strikes me as somewhat odd to ask God which is the "most correct" religion... and to ask God if I should join a particular church with a specific 'yes' or 'no' answer seems akin to using a ouija board.. I'll pass on taking the survey... maybe others will have a different view and can help you with your survey.. Naomi 1 Quote Pam Meddle Not In the Affairs of Dragons; for You Are Crunchy and Taste Good with Ketchup. If we all sang the same note in the choir, there'd never be any harmony. Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?
Members phkrause Posted October 30, 2014 Members Posted October 30, 2014 I'm with Pam Naomi 1 Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29;2
Administrators Tom Wetmore Posted October 31, 2014 Administrators Posted October 31, 2014 Same here... Naomi 1 Quote "Absurdity reigns and confusion makes it look good." "Sinless perfection is such a shallow goal." "I love God only as much as the person I love the least." *Forgiveness is always good news. And that is the gospel truth. (And finally, the ideas expressed above are solely my person views and not that of any organization with which I am associated.)
M. T. Cross Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 I'll just skip the survey and say yes. I got an odd answer but an answer none the less Naomi 1 Quote
Members phkrause Posted October 31, 2014 Members Posted October 31, 2014 I'll just skip the survey and say yes. I got an odd answer but an answer none the less I'd say MT that if he actually wanted to know about answered prayer, that would be one thing. But it looks like he's wanting answer as to what religion that God would pick for someone who asks or prays for God to pick one!! For me if that was all he wanted, answered prayer, yes, God has answered every single prayer that I've as for something or someone. Maybe not right away or exactly the way "I" would've wanted it answered. Many times it was many years later. Sometimes I thought, well that one isn't gonna get answered, but down the road I thin back and say, wow, he did answer that prayer. Thank you Lord. :) Naomi 1 Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29;2

Liz Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 While I believe that God has and does answer prayer. I have never prayed this particular prayer. So I didn't take the survey. Members rudywoofs (Pam) Posted November 4, 2014 Members Posted November 4, 2014 LOL "Pastafarianism" is listed as the religion of one of the respondents, so I assume that the Flying Spaghetti Monster was consulted. Not sure how seriously the results can be taken. Naomi 1 Quote Pam Meddle Not In the Affairs of Dragons; for You Are Crunchy and Taste Good with Ketchup. Woody Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 Looks to strange for my taste. And the results even stranger. Less than one percent indicated receiving an answer when they prayed . Strange. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.

Less than one percent indicated receiving an answer when they prayed . Strange. not sure where you got a < 1% number..... the survey author states, "82% of the respondents reported receiving an answer when they prayed and asked God which religion is the most correct" what I think is peculiar is that 28% (or a little over 30 respondents) received their answer verbally from God, as opposed to "feelings" or visions/dreams...
